I was originally self-taught and then formally studied Afro-Cuban percussion and drums in Cuba with Enrique Pla (Irakere) and Samuel Formell (Los Van Van) among others thanks to a scholarship awarded to me by the Arts Council Of England.

I have also personally researched on several other Latin-American and Caribbean styles while always pusrsuing my personal development.

I have taught at the Musicians' Institute in London for several years and was appointed Deputy Head of PIT, its percussion department.
Up to this day, I have had the opportunity to perform with many great international artists and bands of various styles and backgrounds, touring the world and accumulating credits on over fifty records.
Currently I am a visiting faculty and clinician at various institutes around Europe and, when not on the road, I am busy recording percussion and drums for international artists and producers.
